That's right only 8 days until my official due date :) Right now I'm 38 weeks plus 5 days so I can technically give birth at any point between now and October 12th (that far into the future because I want to wait the until I'm a full 42 weeks before I let them induce labor)
So far only my parents and Dan have picked a date they think the baby will be born; my parents say she will be born on the 26th ( I think they are bias because my brother & I were born on the 26th day of our months) and Dan thinks she will come right on her due dute. I'm leaning towards Oct 1st just because it has always felt right, but the only thing I know for sure is that I really want her to come before my parents fly home (they get here on the 25th).
Other then feeling like an unproductive person the size of a house things have been going okay. Alot has happened to me (besides the pregnancy) in the last 4 months that I haven't talked about on here or really to anyone but it seems that things are finally starting to look up. Since many of you don't know but I was fired from my job at the end of July (when I was right at 31 weeks pregnant) which was 100% unexpected and I've filed a complaint because I feel the primary reason for my firing was the fact that I was pregnant and really close to going on maternity leave. I tried getting another job and have actually recieved 5 job offers in the last 2 weeks (which were promptly taken back once I told them I was giving birth at the end of the month) nothing really happened which made things EXTREMELY rough financially. To make matters even worse our only car completely died at the end of August! We took it in and found that we needed a completely new engine (which by the way is not a cheap prospect) so we explored all the different options and my dad offered to pay for the new engine (plus all the labor) if I could find one as well as a place to get it done (he didn't want us to worry about having a car payment until we were back on our feet financially) So today I was able to find a local place 1)Specializes in engine rebuilding and installation 2) Had the engine we needed on site 3) Could give me the engine and work for less the $2000 4) Offered free towing. Needless to say I felt extremely lucky and was able to have the car taken down there tonight so we can get the work started first thing tomorrow morning. Another great thing that happened was that Dan was approved to telecommute for 2 months starting Oct 1st which will be great once November rolls around and I need to start going out on lots of interviews since my disability checks will have stopped coming around then. Because of loosing my job and having very little money to survive on we were unable to move and will be in the same apartment for the next year which made me a little sad but a roof is a roof.
Well I'm done rambling about my crazy life and Dan is upset because I mad him walk across the street to Carl's Jr. since I've tried everything to shake this stupid cheeseburger craving and I'm not supposed to go out for walks by myself since the last few times I've gotten pretty strong contractions and the baby is down low enough that she is pressing on my siatic nerve.
Okay I'm really done now but feel free to play the "Guess when the baby's coming" game!!
