Almost 6months
It's hard to believe that in the next week I will be starting my 3rd trimester! It doesn't feel like enough time has gone by for me to be this far along but the calendar doesn't lie. I'm actually starting to show more these days and it really started to come in while I was in Portland for my uncle's wedding, but even as my belly pokes out the belly button still seems to be vanishing lol. My mom said that it just means I'm going to explode (yes she actually used the word explode to describe what would happen to my body) in my last couple months.
Maternity pants look pretty ridiculous on me (even the ones that are labeled "no belly") but I think it's because every other area of my body is loosing weight while the belly continues to push forward. I feel I need to write angry letters to the people who make clothing for pregnant ladies because in my adventures (ie misadventures) to find shirts, dresses and bras it seems that these so called designers have forgotten that when a woman is pregnant her boobs get larger along with the midsection. Yet everything I try on is tight on my chest (if I can even get it past the boobs) and then hangs like a tent everywhere else. I mean I am aware that my chest is rather massive but there is something seriously wrong when a nursing bra with the cup size of F (my mom insisted on starting with the largest possible cup size and then working down) is too small in the cups (it looked like I was trying to cram them into a B or C cup) then we go into Penny's and I try on a DDD and it fits WITH a little space to grow. I was and still am perplexed by the fact that a store that specializes in maternity doesn't carry bras that fit my pregnant lady boobs while regualr department stores do?!?! So yes I think I shall start writing my letters so watch your backs owners of Motherhood Maternity!
Other then my ranting the baby is doing great! She's getting bigger and I can feel the weight of my uterus now that she weighs around 1lb. She is also super active these days especially if when I'm late which can be annoying when I'm working and trying to fall asleep. I think she has discovered how to do a flip because all week that's what it has been feeling like she is doing, but it feels alot better then when it felt like she was punching my belly button for hours. It was kinda cute cause in Portland she would get crazy active when my mom would talk which made me wonder if she could recognize her voice from the phone or if was just the tone because when I talk to my mom on the phone now she doesn't get active.
Well that's about it since I this is WAY to long! And since everyone keeps asking we have decided on 2 names as possiblities 1) Caitlin Lee and 2) Loriann (it's the combo of our mother's middle names) and we are still trying to decide on a middle name for choice 2 since Lee just doesn't fit lol
