1. Do you have the guts to answer these questions and re-post as The Controversial Survey?
Apparently.

2. Would you do meth if it was legal?
Um, no.

3. Abortion: for or against it?
I object to the wording of this question. The issue isn't pro-abortion or anti-abortion, no matter how much many of the pro-life community would like you to believe it is. The issue is choice. Are you for or against letting a woman have the right to make her own decision regarding a pregnancy she can't keep or doesn't want, that's the issue. Pro-choice or anti-choice. I believe abortion should be an option. Do I necessarily believe it's the right thing to do? Not always, but I believe that a woman should be able to choose to have one if she feels it's the best way to handle the situation. I also believe that nobody, least of all the government, has the right to force their beliefs on anybody. Being pro-choice doesn't mean I condone killing unborn babies, far from it. It means that I believe women should be given all the options, not just the ones that one group of people deem moral. Offer up all alternatives and let people use their own morals to guide them.

4. Do you think the world would fail with a female president?
Seriously? You're seriously asking this? Hell no I don't think the world would fail with a female president! A woman can't possibly do a worse job than the men in power are doing now.

5. Do you believe in the death penalty?
Another silly question. Yes, I believe in the death penalty. I know it exists; I don't think it's a figment of anyone's imagination. Do you mean "Do you believe the death penalty is the right way to deal with certain offenders?" If so, then I don't know.

6. Do you wish marijuana would be legalised already?
Yeah.

7. Are you for or against premarital sex?
You know, people are going to do what they're going to do. I am Catholic but I also don't see any point in waiting for marriage. I don't think promoting abstinence works; it just makes you want to know what you're missing. I suppose, then, that I'm for premarital sex, but only when both parties involved are emotionally mature and have the knowledge they need to practice safe sex.

8. Do you believe in God?
Yep.

9. Do you think same sex marriage should be legalized?
Yeah, duh. Marriage is about love, not genitalia.

10. Do you think it's wrong that so many Hispanics are illegally moving to the USA?
Yes. I don't have a problem with Hispanic immigration per se, but I do take issue with the illegal part. We have to follow the laws of our country and so should they.

11. A twelve year old girl has a baby, should she keep it?
What the hell is a twelve year old doing having sex? No, no, a million times hell fucking no. Having taught twelve year olds, I can tell you without a doubt that there isn't a 7th grader in the world who is anywhere near ready to raise a child. I really don't think the parents should care for it, either. Really, I'm of the opinion that letting a teenager keep a baby is condoning both teenage parenting and the irresponsible behavior that led to the creation of the baby in the first place. Only in rare cases do I feel like the natural consequence of having to experience the difficulty of being a teenager and raising a baby is enough of a consequence. One in five teenagers who get pregnant once will get pregnant again within a year. It's even more likely that a teen will experience a repeat pregnancy within two years of the first one. Only about one in ten teenagers who give birth will give the baby away. I wonder if the experience of having to get an abortion or having to give away a baby you carried for nine months might be more of a deterrent than the trials of being a teenage mother.

12. Should the alcohol age be lowered to eighteen?
I don't think so. Dr. Phil (shut up) did a show about this and one of the guests made a good point - clearly, underage drinking is a problem. College kids drink because it's this mysterious thing, this thing that they're not allowed to do so they want to do it even more, and they can get away with it. People want to lower the drinking age to 18 to try and alleviate this problem. All it would do, though, is move the problem from college to the high school. High schoolers would become the ones who see it as this great mysterious thing and something they want to do, and that's not a good thing.

13. Should the war in Iraq be called off?
Yes. I think we've all lost sight of why we went there in the first place, really.

14. Assisted suicide is illegal: do you agree?
Nope.

15. Do you believe in spanking your children?
Yes. I do not believe in hitting your children. No punching, no slamming into walls, no belts or switches or whatever. I do believe that a swat on the behind or a pop to the hand can be a powerful deterrent, and that a spanking - a controlled, open-palm, not-in-anger spanking - can be an effective punishment. But don't beat your kids; that's not okay.

16. Would you burn a flag for a million dollars?
Yeah. I could do a lot with a million dollars.

17. Who do you think would make a better president: McCain or Obama?
Obama, shoot. A pig (with lipstick, of course) would make a better president than McCain.

18. Are you afraid others will judge you from reading some of your answers?
Afraid? No. Pretty sure it'll happen? Yeah. Whatevs.
