Randomosity again

I want to make new friends. And in the past six months or so, this journal has grown from being something hardly anyone knew about to one with a whole bunch of friends, and I realized the other day that I hardly know any of them. Or any of y'all, I guess I should say. But I'd like to know you. You should all IM me. Not all at once, of course, although if you'd like to conspire with each other and then IM spam me, that's fine too. It might be fun. Or it might kill my computer. Either way, new friends yay!

I'm on AIM as spoongirltrinity. Say hi and stuff. Or leave me your AIM name so I can say hi to you. I promise I won't bite...ok, well, I'll try really hard not to, anyway. ;)

In other news, SeaQuest DSV OMG!! This was quite possibly my first fandom obsession. I mean, ST:TNG came along first, and I absolutely adored it, and Picard/Crusher was my first OTP and Wesley was my TV boyfriend, but SeaQuest? SeaQuest was an obsession. I never wanted to be on the Enterprise crew as much as I wanted to be on the crew of the SeaQuest. I'm talking BSG levels of obsession here, people. Maybe not so much with the writing fanfic, because I was thirteen and hadn't actually discovered fanfic yet (that happened a couple years later, when my best friend introduced me to it and we spent the summer writing Law & Order and ER fanfic. Yes, my first fanfic story was about Dr. Carter. Hee. I wish I still had it.) But I was Obsessed With SeaQuest. I wanted to marry Ted Raimi's character, and serve under Captain Bridger, and swim with Darwin. I was going to be the helmsman of the SeaQuest. It was obsession at unmatched levels. Well, the first season anyway, until they destroyed the first SeaQuest and thereby ruined the show. I stopped watching about halfway into the second season, because it was really bad. But the first season? Obsession. And now I own it on DVD.

Although now that I think about it, I might have written a couple SeaQuest stories. Well, me-on-SeaQuest stories. But I had no clue there was a term for those kinds of stories and probably destroyed them right after writing. Didn't know what a Mary Sue was, either. Heh.

Bridger/Westphalen = OTP

RIP Jonathan Brandis.

I need a SeaQuest icon.

So yes. Much happiness. It's great.

shameless self-promotion, random stuff, seaquest dsv omg
