I've been telling myself, for a solid two weeks now, about all the things I'll do once my bloody test is over and done with. I'm sooooo close to that point, I need to make a list of those things to distract myself with happiness (lest I focus instead on the misery that will be the test and my eventual grade, if the practice tests I've taken are any example).
The first things I'm going to do are chores, though they are chores I'm looking forward to. Changing the sheets and blankets on my bed. Installing the doors for the Billy bookcase. Cleaning up my room. (Yes, I'm actually looking forward to that.) Changing out the cat litter boxes. (DEAR GOD, THIS NEEDED TO BE DONE AGES AGO.) Trimming my Oscar's fur down again. Picking up dry cleaning. Going grocery shopping for more than just the bare minimum of staples to keep me alive.
Then I party: I'm going to catch up on TV in a whirlwind binge. The Walking Dead, Dexter, Chuck, Smallville, Supernatural, hopefully Doctor Who, Weeds--anything and everything I have backlogged for weeks in the run-up to test studying and taking. I will actually make it my mission to finally watch my Netflix DVDs, one of which has been around since before Halloween. THIS IS UNHEARD OF FOR ME. (Oh God, Feedflicks is going to kill me next time I log in.) I might even get around to new shows! Boardwalk Empire looks too damn good for me not to have seen any of it. I must have at least two separate USA shows I never started, much less finished.
I can't completely let studying go, though. After tonight, I have only three more classes before I have to start studying for the final (WORTH 50% OF MY GRADE, KILL ME). If I don't keep up with making notes on each lesson, I'll just come to this same point in December, only it'll be December, THE MONTH OF SOCIAL/FINANCIAL CHAOS. Which won't make ignoring life in favor of studying easy, let me tell you. I think all my December weekends may be promised away already, and some of them have been for weeks now.
Note to self (or TL;DR for the cut above): Start working on studying for the next test now. You'll thank me for it later. But if you're a good girl, you can have some television. After you study.
Here's a fun thing to make this post worth anyone else's time:
