So... it's been 7 months since graduation. My life is consumed by work including most nights and weekends. No time to buy Christmas presents or send out Christmas cards or (most importantly) blog. My apartment is kind of a disaster as there's no time for cleaning, my kitchen hasn't been used in about a month bc I never eat in any more, no time for a haircut, and I haven't had time to buy winter clothes or see my family and friends. You know you've turned into a workoholic when you have to attend your client's birthday party in the middle of the day and all you can think about is how much work you have to do and getting anxious to get back to it.
But I still find time for the important things in life. Namely reading and obsessing over the Twilight series, buying cupcakes from Crumbs bakeshop, catching up on the last season of Lost, spending quality time on facebook, purchasing unnecessary dvds online, uploading fb pictures, playing Jason Mraz on repeat, attending the Ernst & Young holiday party, and putting up an oversized Christmas tree in my tiny "living room" area... didn't think that one all the way through.
So I'm a little late to the Twilight saga... I was waiting at a train station for 3 hours and decided to pick up a copy to see what all the fuss was about. That's probably why Manny felt ignored for a few weeks until I finished all four books. Am I a little embarrassed to admit I'm so into a teen novel? Perhaps... but I still devoured it. The writing leaves something to be desired and the movie... ugh. It's pretty much just bc... Edward. Edward. Edward. Edward. Edward. *sigh* You'd be hard pressed to find a woman who doesn't want to ravage him. Omg, heart. Although... there's something about Jacob... hmm. It's hard not to obsess bc that's pretty much what I do with everything. Vampires are suddenly attractive and I'm kind of sad that I'm not one of them. Kind of like the way I'm sad that I don't live in Middle Earth as an elf... or enrolled in Hogwarts... or a Jedi. Life is hard that way.
Crumbs bakeshop = best cupcakes ever. Period.
Lost... intense. I love it.
New Jason Mraz song... (and by new I mean weeks old) overplayed. But I still <3 it.
I don't understand how EY could have spent so much money on the holiday party this year when everything is tanking. I think it was the biggest party I've ever been to in my life. Endless rooms at the Hard Rock filled with tons of people drinking, dancing, and probably making unwise decisions.
There is 6ft tree in my little living room. I didn't think about the fact that my apartment is too small for trees. But it is. And now whoever sits on the left side of the couch can't see the tv. All I know is that person isn't me.
Manny is now en route to San Antonio and New York is snowed in. It's a good weekend to be cuddled up with a movie. =)
