Hi, as a recent reader of your fics, and several timezones away, thank you for the best bedtime story ever. :)

I don't know if you were going for this particular feel, but I felt as though I was reading a 1940s-type scifi (with added gay.. hem). But it could just be me, and my tired brain.

Thanks!

Does your icon refer to a story? And if so, where is it?

Not really. I just have the bad habit of fitting quotes from one source onto another*. In this case, it was from the British PM in the Dr Who Christmas special (the Tenth Doctor). :) But I imagine Rodney would very proudly claim this line. :))

*just like this icon, whose quote is from 'Withnail and I'.

You slay me. That was so so good. In my mind, the prompt was all about forbidden love and I'm so happy to see you thought the same.

I found the story wonderful and so, so right on many levels. While reading it, I was sad and a bit angry, because even though there's no chip in real life, there are still some pretty ugly stuff. But it also made me insanely happy, it is full of hope and of course, there are the boys.

I've been really impressed with everything you've written, but that? Is fucking genius.

Thankyou. No, really. (And if it wouldn't be tacky, I'd be thanking you on behalf of all us queers, too.) That means a lot.

Oh, god, I love you. This is just brilliant; the horrible prospect of it, the terrible reality it has, the injustice and the ache and the longing and GUH, all the angst I love so very much, finished with good triumphing over evil, and love saving the day, and all the happy cliches that make my heart sing, and just... I love it. I love these boys, and I love this story, and I love you for writing it!

No, no--you're not predictable at all! You surprise, delight, and amaze me every time!

And this, this is unbelievably stunning and heart-wrenching to me and...thank you so much. Thank you so, so much.
