Open Mind - Attached To Nothing

~I HAVE A MIND THAT IS OPEN TO EVERYTHING AND ATTACHED TO NOTHING~

My minds eye sees all things within in this world, including the world herself as art. Life itself is living art one I try hard to live free of biases and open to all things.  In my art I try to express this very phrase.  Through the lens of my camera I try to show others that life and the world in which we live can truly be treasured art which  should be experinced with all the senses.

Having an open mind to everything around us yet not having your mind attached to any one thing sounds easy until you try it or start to think about how much conditiong has taken place within your life. How many of your current thoughts were influenced by geography, religious beliefs of your ancestors, the color of your skin, the color of another person's skin, or even your gender or the gender of another person.

We show up in this world as a tiny infant capable of so many different, infinite number of, potentialities. Yet as you grew you listened and learned of all the things others felt was right from wrong, possible and impossible and your desisions were based on these beliefs.

Even when you were brought up being told "be honest with yourself", "be who you want to be".  You learned quickly that this meant, as long as it doesn't interfer with our way of life, the world's thoughts of what is right and wrong.   You learned quickly everytime you stepped out of line to try something new that you would be told to get back into line and do things the way they "are suppose to be done".

This "training" also took away from us our "freedom" to express our true selves FREELY.

Well;  in my art I try and show the path of greater resistance. I try and show the beauty of life and how that beauty can be even more beautiful when lived outside the box and not following the "traditional" line of thinking. View and enjoy, live life and don't be afraid to experince life if but for a moment through my art and via your mind.
