A few PotC recs
I usually don't do this, especially since most of the time what I find to read has been found/recced through my flist, but I don't think these have been spread around beyond comment_fic so I thought I'd bring your attention to them.
Barbossa, Quest for Immortality - Set during the ten years before CotBP when Barbossa learns that immortality has a price.
Jack, one hundred years later - Jack also has his own experiences with immortality that might not have been what he expected.
True North which is followed by Pirate - It's Captain Jack Sparrow, pirate, IN SPACE! (And more lovely and less cracky than my description would suggest.)
I didn't realize until I started to link that they're all by danse_amore, who is very lyrical with her words.
There is also Unexpected Guardian Angels by perverseparagon in which Elizabeth seeks babysitters from the pool of pirates she is acquainted with. It goes about as well as you might think.
