So, Terminator. First thoughts, written during commercial breaks
I don't like the new narrator. Sarah Connor was much better for the introduction. Or Lena Headey, or whatever her name is.
I did love the opening song. I have to figure out who sings it. I have a feeling it will become my new obsession for the week (after all, it's been a few weeks since Dr. Horrible came out; I'm about due for a new musical obsession...)
Shakiness worked.

Umm, why is Charlie driving a fire truck? He's EMS, isn't he?
Also, Shirley Manson probably equals Garbage singing Samson & Delilah in the first act.
...
I like John on his own. He needs to be on his own more often. Even if he does get saved by his mommy, who was pretty damned smart to ram Cameron between two trucks so John could get the chip out.
Also, Cam being all manipulative and scared and "please John, I ran a test and I'm okay now" was really, really good. But only if it was a trick, because the real Cameron does not do emotions, kthx?
...
I know that Sarah's taking credit, but it really makes so much more sense that John did the killing, so that's what I'm really hoping happened. I mean, the camera work was deliberately confusing, but John is the one who worked the bonds off his hands. Plus, his actions later (like that suicidal giving Cameron the gun move) makes a helluva lot more sense if he's all upset about killing someone. Moreso than just seeing his mommy kill someone.
...
I like John's new haircut. And I still say he killed Sarkissian.
ETA: "I guess he does have a wife." Hee. Just Derek's expression when he said it...
Also, fuck you to my PVR, which stopped recording probably about thirty seconds before the show ended. Now I have to go find an online source.
