Summary: Bored to tears while traveling through space on the Gokai Galleon, Ahim de Famile decides to pass the time by reading a few old romance novels. But eventually, her mind begins to wander…
One of their latest raids had involved procuring a trunk of some sort, but when the Gokaiger looked through it, they found it to be full of books. The only person this seemed to interest was the quiet Ahim de Famile, who took the time to make off with said trunk and retire to her cabin.
To her glee, the trunk was not only filled with books, but old romance novels, about swashbuckling rouges and intrepid heroines and the idea of spending some quiet time with a cup of tea and the lot thrilled Ahim. She wasted no time making herself a warm drink and settling down to open a novel.
She was on her third book by the time her mind began to wander and she began to fantasize about being one of those daring heroines, caught up in the adventures of a handsome rogue and sailing the oceans looking for adventure and romance.
Sometime later, Ahim had fallen asleep and begun dreaming. She dreamed of classical pirate ships, adventures on the seas and to top it off, she had her own handsome rouge in the dashing, adventurous Captain Marvelous.
Captain Marvelous wasn’t the ideal swashbuckler, but Ahim had been enamored with him ever since he rescued her from the middle of dead space, threw his coat around her and took her aboard the Gokai Galleon. He was daring and adventurous and so handsome, but a little reckless. Hardly the sort of man a displaced princess would dream about, but the Captain had always been a little different. She'd always been told she would marry a prince from far away, but Ahim had always wanted something more.
As she dreamed, Ahim envisioned herself as a daring pirate queen, traveling the world with her "king", finding a rich wealth of pirate treasures and even discovering a taste of romance.
"Isn't this wonderful, Ahim?" Captain Marvelous asked as their galleon sailed through the open ocean, the spray hitting his face as he steered. "A wonderful sea breeze, gorgeous weather and the possibility of a new treasure to be plundered...ah, the life of a pirate. I couldn't ask for more..."
Ahim was leaning over the railing, hair blowing in the wind. She clung to some of the rope, smiling over her shoulder. “It’s perfect.” She replied, watching as the Captain spun the wheel and came to stand beside her.
“It’s even more perfect with you.” Marvelous replied, pulling her away from the edge of the railing and into his arms, gripping a rope.
Before she knew it, she’d pressed her lips to his in a soft kiss. It was almost as if they’d been swept away by a wave and almost as an afterthought, the Captain called for someone else to take the wheel.
“Captain…what’s the greatest treasure you’ve ever found?” Ahim asked as they vanished into his cabin.
“That would be you.” He chuckled. “I whisked you off a desert island, made you a queen and gave you everything your heart desired.”
“The life of a pirate queen.” She giggled, remembering the first raid he’d taken her on, in which he’d plundered a home of a wealthy family and given her a chest full of jewels. “It’s more than I could have hoped for.”
“You deserve the finest things in life, Ahim de Famile. And I will give them all to you.” As he swept her into their cabin, he kissed her softly and removed her embroidered outer garments. “Even if I have to loot and plunder them.”
“Captain…” Ahim giggled as they kissed.
“What do you think she’s dreaming about?” Don Dockoiyer asked as he put a blanket over the sleeping Ahim, directing his question to Joe Gibken. The two of them had managed to accidentally stumble across the sleeping Ahim and took the time to blow out her candle. “She looks really happy.”
“Who knows?” Joe shrugged. “Sometimes its hard to gauge what she’s thinking.”
“I bet it’s a nice dream.” Don ushered Joe out and they left Ahim there, a happy smile on her face.
Just as the door closed behind them, Ahim sighed happily in her sleep. “Oh…Captain Marvelous…”
