Thanks for the nudge Mel, it's ridiculous how long it's been since I posted in here. The summer was so busy for us. Seems like we had something going on every weekend, but it was nice. It just went by way too fast. We're well into hunting season now, and Jake was unsuccessful at getting his elk, but I got my deer 2 weekends ago. It'll probably be the biggest one I'll ever get. I was quite proud! Work is going really good. It's been incredibly busy and my days fly by. I've been working a lot on a big double homicide case preparing the trial binders and that has been a challenge, but quite interesting. I may have the opportunity in a month or so to move up into a higher paid position, but I don't know if I really want it. I don't want my superiors to think I don't want to advance, but I really love the job I have. I'll cross that bridge when it comes I guess. More money would be nice, but money isn't everything right?!?!
Jake and I are still at odds over having a baby. I have struggled immensley the past 6 months over it. He agreed to go to counseling with me and our first appointment is tomorrow night. I'm scared, but I think it will be really good for us. I pray the counselor has some words of wisdom for us. I've seen this counselor once before by myself. He encouraged me to bring Jake along for the next visit. I feel very fortunate that Jake is willing to come with me, I didn't think he'd go. Please send some good juju our way.
