no subject, so there

I've been getting bored with my gym routine, so yesterday I was checking out some different things I can do. My current routine is getting too easy for me, and I want to change it up before my body gets completely used to the routine, in order to avoid plateauing. Also, I've been wanting to target my lower abs. So I found this thing called Vertical Knee Raises, where you use this machine that allows you to hold yourself off the ground and then curl your knees up. I've got to say, my lower abs are killing me this morning, so I pronounce this exercise a success. Yay! And also, Ow!

Our new couch is not as soft and comfy as the old one. I know this is just because the old one was a floor model, and that means it had been sat on about 2 million times before we got it, but still... I miss the comfy. I guess we are just going to have to break this one in ourselves. I hereby double my dedication to spending as much time sitting on the couch as possible. It's a personal sacrifice, but somebody has to do it.

Today is our friend M's birthday and we're going out for dinner at this authentic Chinese restaurant. I am definitely looking forward to this. Mmmm. D and I have been there a couple of times before. The first time I tried to be adventurous, and it totally backfired and I ended up with something pretty gross. The second time I had learned my lesson, stuck with something I knew I'd like, and it was delicious. I suppose that when the menus are written in Chinese, it's an indication that you should not take chances. Just in case.
