I just watched the finale of Nurse Jackie, the new TV show of Showtime. The series stars Edie Falco as title character Jackie Peyton, a "flawed" emergency room nurse at All Saints' Hospital in New York City. As Showtime says the half-hour series "is at turns wicked, heartbreaking and funny." And like the slongan Nurse Jackie asks... Is she an angel or devil?
In my opinion, it takes (or reminds me...) somethings from another shows, like Dexter (the Double life of Jackie, which is the most interesting thing) or House M.D (Jackie has an addition to the pills) and mix some drama with some of comedy. I think what I like more about the show. In the other hand, there are a couple of silly characters, like Zoey (the nurse rookie)and the administrator of the Hospital, Gloria Akalitus that I don´t like the comedy part of her character.
But despite of is not a great show or something exceptional, I think it's worth it. Is very kind and only takes half-hour.
