The medical bracelet my grandfather wore when he got his transfusions, the tag identifying the mink coat I bought at the local thrift store, thread I had pulled off an article of clothing, a handmade label made by my grandmother, the stretchy stuff from giving blood - all of these are things discovered and/or saved since moving up to Wisconsin.
