HIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!! I was just showing off my tattoo at a Christmas party and thinking of you, babe!
I think fandom should be a fun, stress-free zone, so chuck that backlog and start fresh. Just put up a post saying, 'Starting Fresh' and go for it. We just want you back here, we don't care about all the stuff in the past! You are on Tumblr? Me too! dodger-sister there as well. (and I am about to be on AO3 sometime this month I think)
I totally get the football thing - soccer is a fun sport to watch. And I read baseball fanfic, so I don't think it's weird at all. I get so geeky whenever my team plays the San Francisco Giants and my friends are like, "Why do you like this team?" and Idk how to say, "Because I have read a lot of porn about them." (someone on my flist got me into baseball fic through the SF Giants).

So glad you are doing better and on a good path. Whatever, however much or little, or wherever you decide to make your fandom space, I just want you to enjoy it. (and be around at least a little bit, babe!) My fandom life is maybe not as active as it used to be in the beginning of my LJ days when we first met, but it has branched out and that has been fun.
