Read today in a magazine, "Art is anything that makes you feel a little bit less alone."
I think that perfectly sums up why I hate certain kinds of sad endings. If the point of the sadness is to emphasize how empty and meaningless all of life is, I'd rather just skip it. I'm better off with something pointlessly fluffy, even if I do usually dislike pointlessly fluffy.
I refuse to relinquish hope. It's the most valuable thing I have.
