I do not have time to post today, but I just cannot let the day go by without it! I've been batting a thousand since June 1 (yeah, so it's only been a week or so--shaddup!), and I don't want to ruin my record.
Tenor Sensation graduates this evening. I happened to say something just before lunch about what time he had to arrive: 5 p.m. No, he said, he had to be there at 4:30. I have checked and doublechecked this, so I was certain it was 5 p.m. Which is what I said, of course. At which point he casually announced that he had to practice beforehand. Practice what? The national athem he's singing with three classmates.
"Why the heck didn't you mention this before?" I asked, incredulous.
"It's not a big deal."
Yes. That's correct. My son is singing "The Star-Spangled Banner" in a mixed quartet at his high school graduation--500 graduating students and their many friends and family.
But it's no big deal. Certainly nothing to mention.
