Okay, so I know that its been like more than a month since I've posted here. That whole life thing, it is so busy lately. But tonight I had to post. And post about two things that I hardly ever talk about here.
ONE
The first is my show Chuck. Why are you people not watching this show. It is so freaking good, and funny, and just gah. Tonight's episode? TV perfection.
So lets just start off with Chuck and Sara. I cannot believe that last year I wasn't really feeling them. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH THIS YEAR I CAN HARDLY STAND IT. They made out! On a bed! There were fingers entertwined and bed rolling and just general complete and total sexiness. I've watched that scene about Eleventy Billion times. Those two. Chemistry off the charts.
Perfect cast integreation tonight. Everyone's storyline was funny and engaging. Morgan finally taking a stand. And Awesome. He knows Chuck's secret and he has his back. I love that Devon is the one that found out about it. I hope, if we get another season (please TV Gods, bring this show back) that there are many hijinks with Awesome trying to hone in the CIA stuff.
I was a little sad, becasue this felt like Series Finale. I know the chances of this coming back are not great, but I really, really, really, really, really hope that NBC gives it a chance. But if they do cancel it, at least tonight wrapped up some things very nicely. But I'm not going to think about cancellation right now because I just want to enjoy how wonderful tonight's show was.
TWO
The second thing is my increasing admiration for one Mr. Zac Efron. I'm going to admit here and now that this kid has totally and completely charmed the pants off of me. I love him, and I love his girlfriend and think they are probably the cutest Hollywood couple I've seen in forever.
But I really want to talk about Zefron's new movie 17 Again. What can I say. Am-a-zing. Honestly, even if I wasn't completely enamored with this dude, I'd have loved this movie. It was so good, so charming, and funny, and surprisingly real at times. I would recommend it for anyone, even if you don't have the same level of Zac appreciation that I do (believe me I have enough for eveyone, lol).
I went into the movie expecting it to be funny and cute. I figured Zac would be charming, because he always is in movies. And all of that did occur. But dudes. I was completely shocked at how good Zac was. Like he is legitimately a good actor. I was completely engaged by his character and bought him almost immediately as a 35 year old man trapped in a 17 year old body. He broght just the right amount of comedy and bitersweetness that the role called for.
When he was in scenes with the woman who plays his wife, I was totally convinced that he was in love with her. Hell, it was a 17 year old man and a 35 year old woman and I was rooting for them to just go ahead and kiss each other already. He was completely charming in all his scenes with her. His scenes with the kids were at times sweet and at times hilarious. He really did seem like a father concerned about making sure his children made it through high shcool okay. And I liked how reaistic some of the high school scenes were.
Then at the end, with the courtroom scene, Zac totally had me shedding a tear when he read the love letter for his wife. He was crying and I completely bought it. And that was when I realized that, this guy is for real. He's going to be so good. He is not just the High School Musical movies. He is a real actor. And I was so proud of him and happy that I'm a fan. His future is so bright, I just can't wait to see what he does next.
So yeah, tonight I'm just sitting on the couch, recovering from some PRK eye surgery and waxing poetic about Zac Efron and Chuck. Good times. I think I'm going to go watch that scene from Chuck again a few more times, lol.
