Day 26 and 27 - 30 Days of TV
Day 26 - OMG WTF? Season finale
OK, it has to be one that I watched in real time and then had to wait a summer, so that leaves out season 3 of Supernatural (Dean in hell...I would have gone insane). I think I have to go with a season finale that turned out to also be the series finale, the end of Angel. It ended with Angel and his friends (the ones that weren't killed earlier, that is) standing in an alley as a horde of demons descended on them. That's it. End of story. I am assuming they were slaughtered, but who knows. I was not a happy camper.
Day 27 - Best pilot episode
God, I am predictable. The pilot of Friday Night Lights is stunning. It is unlike anything I have seen on TV. Everything about it is, quite simply, art. The cinematography is GORGEOUS. The dialog is simple, real, and never rings false. Until the ending there is no great drama, it is just a normal day in a normal town filled with normal people. And yet the show is anything but normal.
