Oh sorry, it's basically a text version of this. Each character represents the number of stops located within a small square of map:

(blank) = 0 stops
. = 1 to 9 stops
o = 10 to 19 stops
+ = 20 to 29 stops
* = 30 to 39 stops
# = 40 to 49 stops
@ = 50+ stops
