Everyone knows the British drive on the right side of the road, the left.
Who'da thunk though that we walk pavements on the opposite side as well. When I first started working in NY I noticed that if I walked directly towards an American on a footpath, they'd move to their right to let you pass, which meant I'd pass to my left, which didn't feel right.
While out running last night around Trowbridge, I ran towards three separate people, and they all did the same, moved to their left, meaning I had to pass on my right, which was all that was left.
