FRINGE

Found out today that the Fringe S1 DVD is out September 28th over here. (A cause for MUCH celebration, because streaming links apparently hate me)

Now, Fringe is awesome. I think it is actually one of my favourite shows now. I'm even starting to get over my absolute terror of Lance Reddick. And of course it's got all the funky paranormal stuff that makes me go OOOH HOW'D THEY DO THAT, but in a smart way, not a dumb way. Kinda like the X-Files, but different, because Mulder and Scully never had Walter Bishop on their side.

well, mostly on their side, when he remembers who/where/when he is, what he's doing and why he's doing it

ANYWAY. I'm a bit... fascinated by Walter. I want to hug him a lot. And his voice is just... mmmmmmmm...

Everyone else is awesome too though. Peter's fantastic, and Astrid, and I have an almost unhealthy attachment to Charlie, and Olivia made it to my Favourite Characters list so fast that I'm now calling her Livy, as an endearment type of thing.

And then there's the S1 finale.

Well. All I can say is... going by the Actor Rule (warning: TVTropes link. Clickage may cause the loss of many hours of your time), this show gives us Denethor and Mr Spock as colleagues and.. uh, lab-mates, I guess. Personally, I find that pretty awesome.

(Though if we extrapolate, I guess this means that Pacey from Dawson's Creek is Faramir and Boromir's long-lost brother, and Matthew Abaddon was working for the US Government all along...)

fringe, awesome tv shows
