Apparently, I have daemons on the brain at the moment. *sigh*
Anyways... I was trying to figure out what daemons the Firefly crew would have, and I hit on the perfect one for River...
an Indian Mongoose. My rationale for this is that the Indian Mongoose is small, cute, and surprisingly deadly if you're a cobra. Not unlike River. Her mongoose-daemon, incidentally, is apparently called Fiver. I think this is... weirdly sort of appropriate, really.
I've not got anything concrete for most of the others yet... but I've decided that Inara totally gets a Bird of Paradise, and I'm leaning towards a coral snake for Jayne.
