Y'know, I know it's fictional and all, but this show really does provide interesting insights into the minds of fundie christian crazy types.
Like Sarah Fund- oh, wait, sorry, Newlin. Who, I think, just compared Jason Stackhouse to Jesus.
Which is just the teeeeeniest bit special. On the other hand, that whole scene really helps my case for Sarah/Jason. As does the fact that Steve is... how should I put this... batshit insane (this is before we get to him being controlling and dictatorial and everything).
Actually, this seems to be a good week for my ships. Hoyt'n'Jessica is still awesome. Tara'n'Eggs gives me warm fuzzy feelings even though Maryann still sets my teeth on edge, and Terry'n'Arlene (which I randomly thought of a couple of weeks back) is... um, canon. Really wasn't expecting that.
And of course, there's Sam'n'Daphne. Which might actually be the cutest, most awesome couple to hit this show since Sookie and Bill got together.
(I KNEW Daphne was a shifter. Were!Doe was unexpected, but w/e. I like her, so far at least. Seems like she'll be good for Sam.)
And Finally: DALLAS VAMPIRES. *SQUEE*
Randomness.. See Stan over there? Yeahhh, that'd be Ed Quinn. Who was on Eureka, and who apparently becomes exponentially hotter with a Texan accent and a cowboy hat. *shrug*
And, um... ERICERICERICERIC...
Going into this ep, I had a couple theories about why Eric's so keen to find Godric. These were a) Eric fanboys him, b) Godric sired him and c) Godric's his ex.
As it turns out, b) is correct. But I'm not counting out c) until it is explicitly, canonically stated otherwise. You know you were thinking it too...
That flashback, incidentally, was very interesting. Godric looked AWESOME, and rather hot tbh. (Normally I'd feel weird about that. But seeing as Eric is 1000ish, and Godric is 2000+, that means that when he turned Eric he was already 1000+. Therefore, no weirdness.)
And seeing Human!Eric was nice. Partly for Viking!Eric, and partly because... dude, Eric was a hero. An actual, dedicated-to-his-men, bona fide hero. This makes me like him more. As does: "Idiots!" *storms out*.
Um. Bill and Sookie were great this week too. But Bill has some major self-loathing and maybe an inferiority complex going on. I wonder if there are any vampire therapists?
PS: At this point I'll just say that I'd like to dump Maryann in a bayou tied to a tree or something and wait for an alligator to eat her. That should sum up how I feel about her right now.
PPS: LAFAYETTE! *hugs* You be nice to him, Sam. *pretendglare*
