Lost 6x10

I'm confused.

OK, so, Jin&Sun episode this week. Yay!

Reality-B for these two had some... odd features, like the fact that they're *not* married but *are* sleeping together... and how their story fits in with R-B Sayid's (hey, at least we know how R-B Jin ended up inside that walk-in fridge)... there was an Unexpected Keamy moment there, but then I took a moment and figured out the timelines and it was fine. Also, random Unexpected Patchy. Without the eyepatch - but, and this was great, when Jin shot him - he shot him in the eye. And it was the eye that was missing in Reality-A too.

Also, Mr Paik (without even appearing himself) has attained new levels of scary-twisted-bastard-dom in my book... sending a guy that you're having killed to LA, on the pretext of being your daughter's bodyguard, so that he can deliver the payment for his own assassination in person? Yeaaahhh... *backing away slowly now*

Reality-A, now... HOLY. CRAP.

Well, Smocke tried to recruit Sun, but she's smart and doesn't trust him and ran away, but she hit her head on a tree branch and... well, she *understands* English still, but she can only *speak* Korean... fortunately Jack found a notebook and a pencil for her, so she can at least *write* in English... ah, whatever.

In other news from Team Formerly Known As Jacob's:

- Ilana still doesn't trust Ben, even when he's being nice.
- Richard's all invigorated after last week and is now fixated on destroying the Ajira plane so Smocke can't leave.
- Miles and Frank really do need something to do....
-.... and, miracle of miracles, Jack hasn't annoyed me for *ages*. Not since "LA X", I think... wow.

Over in Team Smocke:

- Sayid continues to FREAK ME THE FRAK OUT.
- SMOCKE TOO. This is becoming an issue for me. Recently I've felt like maybe Smocke is the less-bad one after all, but then stuff like this ep comes along, and now I'm back to not trusting a word he says. I suppose that's probably a good idea.
(also, just to prove that Supernatural really is *taking over everything*, when Smocke told Sun "I will never make you do anything against your will", all I could think of was Lucifer saying pretty much the same thing to Sam W. That doesn't help with my Smocke-trust issues.)
- Claire freaks me out too.
- Kate... didn't even register on my radar this week, for real.
- OK, so, Smocke and Sayid took a little outrigger-trip over to the Hydra after that woman Zoe and Widmore's Goons kidnapped Jin for something to do with electromagnetism that I wasn't really paying attention to. (Though, they put him in ROOM FRAKKING 23. THE FUCK?) Smocke couldn't go onto most of the island because of the minipylons, but he had a chat with Widmore anyway. Then Smocke goes back to Main Island, but Sayid stays behind to find out what it was that Widmore had under guard in the sub.

As it happens, "the package" (as it was rather hilariously referred to) isn't a *what* so much as a WHO.

...

Basically, the thing that Widmore is so desperate to protect is.... DESMOND. Who, for the few seconds that we saw him, did not look in a good way, but I think the Goons doped him with something to keep him docile...

also this raises the issue of "where the fuck are Penny and Charlie?". Widmore seemed to imply that he didn't know where Penny was, which rules out the idea that he's got them stashed somewhere. Point is, THEY HAD BETTER BE OK.

EDIT: I found Penny. She's in Flashforward... Charlie appears to be a girl now, though. Hmm. There's a fic to be written there somewhere....

smokey!locke, which reality is this again?, jin and sun, me:wtf, fandom: lost, desmond
