I'm involved in two new play readings this month, the first of which is tomorrow night at 7:00pm at Curio Theatre, on the corner of 48th and Baltimore Avenue. It's a play by local West Philadelphian Ilana Vine and is called "Quiet, Suburban." I play a thwarted suburban mother whose dreams are filtered through the lives of her two daughters. Come out for it. It's free and there's a discussion afterwards with the playwright. Famous people like
kylecassidy and Dr. Brad will be there too!
The other evening, while I was performing in "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead," Kyle went to the amazing City Kitties Art Auction at Studio 34 and came home with some wonderful art, including a bracelet, necklace and earring set of elegant kitty faces created by Cathy Guss out of Czech glass and freshwater pearls! He also couldn't resist the portrait
M.C. Matz donated to the auction. And I'm so glad to have it! For some reason, Live Journal is refusing to let me post photos at the moment, so
here is a link to her lovely painting of me! In other exciting news, we're finally getting our ceiling repaired this week after damage sustained in the great flood of 2009! And also, I love our garden. The roses and irises are blooming furiously, just as the lilacs and tulips fade.
Next weekend is the last weekend to see R & G Are Dead, so get your tickets now!
