No words Saturday or Sunday.
Words today: 575
Total words: 2546
Two thousand, five hundred, forty-six words of complete cheese, but it's done! It's a killer when you know what you're writing, nearly every word, is going to be altered, but I think I needed to plow my way through this first draft in order to have a complete storyline and get my thoughts together. Since I need to chop this puppy in half, my changes will be much more in the vein rewriting than editing, but it feels good to have at least this much accomplished. Tomorrow my word count should begin to go in reverse!
So I'm sure you're all wondering what I did on Saturday and Sunday while I was shirking my writing duties. Gardening chores, mostly. We put up an 8 foot section of vinyl fencing to shield our veggie garden from view from the road (it always seemed to me that veggie gardens are private or something, unlike flower gardens that you want everyone to see and admire). Unfortunately, our Fence-in-a-Box was short one picket, so at the moment we have a hole in said fence. Actually, we have two holes as we decided to leave the picket near the other post out too so the fence would be symmetrical. (I know, anal retentive, but what can I say?) I have since e-mailed the company which manufactured the Fence-in-a-Box, and they have very nicely agreed to send me one picket, free of charge, so soon our fence will be complete. Yay!
Aside from the fence, I have been trimming bushes and mums, weeding, researching new plants, feeding horses, playing with Arabelle, cooking, cleaning, gaming . . .
