(no subject)
Today's my first day substitute teaching.
I'm not starting my full-time subbing position yet. I'm just filling in for two people in the department this week, including my former cooperating teacher tomorrow. I was giddy with excitement when I got the assignments. Mostly I'm just happy to make some money and be a little busier, although this does take getting used to. Being up at 5 again wasn't hard, but I'm wondering if this will catch up with me later.
But hey, I'm a sub. What kind of sub will I be? This is conjuring up images of Mr. Tooley, the elderly sub at my high school who always wore the same sweater. Or that sub who told us all about how she used to be in the FBI or the CIA or something because she and her husband spoke Arabic and several othe languages fluently. Or that sub who was a recent grad from TC West and so he let us play Euchre and root around the teacher's room to find the test answers. I'm going to be one of those?!?! Good grief.
