The Old Year....
1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before? LOTS of things. Most of the list has already been covered elsewhere...I made mead, I went to a Belegarth event, I slid down snowed upon manure piles, I got drunk, I got a license, and that's just a few of the notable points.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn't exactly make New Years resolutions, but I will be making some for this year, just haven't figured out exactly what yet.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? No, but several people will be in this upcoming year
4. Did anyone close to you die? No
5. What countries did you visit? I was here the entire year.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009? Money. Money would make life immeasurably easier. Also, some sort of direction in life would be good.
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? October 13th stands out, but only barely - there haven't been that many amazingly important events in life this year.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? No achievements.
9. What was your biggest failure? Ask my parents, they could give you a mile-long list.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? February was not a good month, between severe flu and neck issues that are still present, I spent most of it in bed unable to move...though there was curry and Viva Pin~ata which made up for a lot of that.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Does paying admission to FallFling count as buying something?
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? oh, lots of people's. Mama who didn't disown me despite all paranoid predictions, Rhys, Andy, Drew, Julie, Isaac, Kat, Zack, and Bonnie who also surprised us on several levels.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Zack, Rhys, and Andy all at one point or another really disappointed us with their behaviour
14. Where did most of your money go? rent and bills
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? things I brewed, salvia, going camping.
16. What song will always remind you of 2009? Lady Gaga's Poker Face.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
i. happier or sadder? eh, about the same over all. I'm happier in some areas and sadder in others, but it all works out about even.
ii. thinner or fatter? thinner
iii. richer or poorer? a bit poorer
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? camping, journaling
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? worrying about money, hating work
20. How did you spend Christmas? I spent Christmas eve with the Gardeners and ended up sleeping over there and opening presents with them Christmas morning. Then I went home and slept for a few hours until they were ready to go to Waffle House and watch old movies. Also went and got breakfast with Ridley, Stan, Marlena, Diana and Jessica Boxing Day morning. It was the best Christmas I've spent up here since I moved back.
21. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in 2009? There was that whole really awkward trip to Clanton with Andy - between driving past Montgomery for 90 miles and awkward conversations, there was definitely some embarrassment there.
22. Did you fall in love in 2009? no, just realized that I had a good while ago.
23. How many one-night stands? Nope, still don't do that sort of thing.
24. What was your favorite TV program? Black Books and Big Bang Theory both make me happy...though as they've both been watched on DVD I don't know if they actually count
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Since I didn't know the Serf of Darkness at this time last year, I guess I do.
26. What was the best book you read? There was more of the Dies the Fire series, I've been completely absorbed in the Wheel of Time stuff lately. I'm sure there have been more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head.

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? 24. I didn't do much, it was a Tuesday, so it was game night. Unfortunately, Rhys and Andy bailed on me (for more or less acceptable reasons) and Zack pissed me off beyond belief, so, it kind of sucked overall.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? less drama
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009? Same as usual, jeans and T's
