Title: Impossible Outcomes(Sam/Jess)
Author: trill100
She’s beautiful. Nine pounds, four ounces and everyone says she’s huge but to Sam she’s amazingly, impossibly small.
His father doesn’t come, not that he really expected him to. Dean does, brings receiving blankets and onesies with the tags still on them.
When he holds her he says, “God, she’s uglier than sin. Least we know she’s yours, Sammy.” Jess laughs but he doesn’t, isn’t ready to yet.
He doesn’t even let Jess go get her alone in the night, and every morning he checks her eyes, looks for black or yellow, and every morning they’re still bright crystal blue.

Title: Sacrifice (John)
Author: trill100
Dean was an almost obscenely healthy child. Only really sick once, right after his first birthday. His fever hit 105 and they came so close to losing him. John had never been so terrified before in his life. He remembers it to his dying day, how the lights had been too bright in the ER and he could feel the heat radiating off of Dean right through his clothes.
He told Dean about it in the hospital, even though he wasn’t there, how he would have traded his soul for him that day, too, if only he’d known he could.

Title: A Hundred Miles Off (Sam/Sara)
Author: trill100
She decorates with antique ammo crates and tells him, “It’s ironic because… you know.” She says ‘you know’ a lot, and ‘your old job’. She only actually says it once. “You hunted demons.” And when she does, soft and under her breath at 3 AM, it’s all either of them say.
The next morning she makes him pancakes and doesn’t ask where his brother is until he’s out the door. He goes to the garage and runs his hands over the crumpled Impala parked out back, wonders about the nearest crossroads and what sort of trade his soul is worth.

Title: Sun in an Empty Room (John, Sam)
Author: trill100
The leaving was always hardest on Sammy.
John had always thought of him and Dean staying in whatever town, whatever furnished apartment or house he could get on a month to month. But Sammy lived everywhere. Always unpacked his bags, drew every room, every view. Came home at night and told John about the field trips coming up over greasy takeout.
Would always stand and watch with silent tears as John untapped his pictures from the wall of an empty room that wasn’t his anymore.
John knows he will never say the words that would make things okay. “We’re staying.”

Title: Civil Twilight (Sam)
Author: trill100
category/rating:
Dusk comes on and Sam eases the Impala back into traffic.
Talks about all these people going home from work and none of them look near happy about it.
How it looks like maybe it’ll snow soon and somehow it’s been years since he’s seen snow.
All of this to an empty passenger seat.
How he counts out the days and hours and minutes and sometimes it feels like all he can do.
That he has a hard time even setting foot in Indiana anymore, and Bobby calls him every year on his birthday and he never answers the phone.
