The New Book: "Anak-Anak Multibahasa" by Santi Dharmaputra et al.
After a year of writing, editing, writing, editing, writing and sometimes crying and getting crazy, the book is finally out!!!
The title can be interpreted as:
"Multilingual Children"
(Mothers Raising their Kids in the Indonesian Language
within Foreign Language Environments)
This book tells the success stories of 9 mothers who live inside and outside Indonesia in bringing-up their kids multilingually.
Multilingual here means: the Indonesian Language plus the languages of the spouses and/or environments.
It consists of 12 chapters: 9 anthologies + 3 theories and practical tips.
I serve as the first name/editor (writing 4 chapters: 1 anthology + 3 theories and tips, besides editing, organizing and putting everything together).
We (the writers and publisher) hope it will invite our people to love the Indonesian language and pass it on to their kids wherever they live.
