Twas the begining of an alright month
So far, argued with just about everyone on my friends list, lol, but, meh, people are like clothes, you can always get new ones.
Anyway ^_^ Onto the good stuff. I got a whole buncha new games, I finally picked up Fallout 3, been wanting it for awhile. I also grabbed Suikoden Tierkries(which is interesting, but not overly impressive) Then, the next day, I picked up Armored Core: For Answer(I love the series, always have, something about giant mechs make me happy in my pants), I also grabbed the Valkryie Profile game, Union of the Plume, it was really interesting looking, so I picked it up, I haven't even played it yet though, lol. I have played Fallout 3, I rented it awhile ago and played it all the way through, did a few sidequests, and whatnot. I started Suikoden, and I was disappointed :( Theres no runes *flail* I fucking LOVE the rune system in Suikoden, but they got rid of it, it aggrivates me >< I want my damn true rune and I want to cause hellfire and damnation at my foes.(More on this later :D) I haven't touched the Valkryie Profile game, lol, not because I'm disinterested, its just that I have been enjoying AC4A, more, and, while in Roanoke yesterday, I found Valkryie Profile: Lenneth, for the PSP, so I bought that too, and thats a rare freaking game :D so, I'll go with ramen for this month, if it means finding a game I've been hunting for months and months. This pleases me.
Now, about my note :) I made a Suikoden Tabletop game, or rather, I'm in the process of making such. I looked on many a source(SuikoSource, Gensopedia, and of course Gamefaqs) For True runes, True rune spells, Normal Runes, and Mid-level Runes, Only 13 runes were listed, as True runes, so, I had to improvise 14 new ones, I was rather pleased with the turn out, amidst that, we also had to give spells to some of the 13, which had no listed spells, such as the True Circle Rune, which governs Order and Stagnation(still working on that one, lol, the True rune of Change, as well) But, like the True Dragon rune, I had no trouble coming up with spells for, or say, the True Beast Rune, I based it off of the normal Beast Rune, and gave it one empowered spell, just as the Darkness rune is a mid level, from the True Atonement rune. :) I think this will shape up nicely.
My ideal, is to have each PC living in a farm, they were once conscripted into the military, so, have a little experience, and kinda shitty armor, but, basic. A few Rune bearers(each wielding a True Rune) comes into town and dies in front of the PC's, I've got all 27 True runes(actually more then that. Some were splintered, others are 'you must have Dawn and Twlight, to wield Sun' type situations) And, the runes I don't use for Boss type enemies, will be available, face down on Index cards, they pick one, and thats their True Rune in game. True runes can be removed, only if the Rune wants it, Some runes are inherently good, others, are completely evil, in order to balance the world. But, I plan on taking about 10, maybe 15 of the True Runes, from the cards, and using those for enemies, Like, I'm going to have Eightfold(True Heaven and Hell) on Yuber still, and the Front Gate/Back Gate unattainable, Soverign won't be there, Nor will the Rune of Prophesy(one I made) or the rune of Change(Which the ultimate villan will be using, he's trying to change the world, to one that no longer needs the runes to survive) And, the True rune, accepts his conviction and wants him to succedd, and so, it chose him, after the king of the Sindar passed away. :) True Earth, will also not be available, because, like Luc, Sasarai has seen the truth of things and wants to help the wielder of the True rune of Change, to destroy the other runes, or put them all back together and have them disappear from the world :)
I know few beyond M'lady might understand all that :) But, I hope to get a little input, does that sound interesting, hell, if anyone wants to know, I'll even make a edit, or new entry, listing all the runes and if I can find the index cards(I wrote the true runes in a notebook and we put the spells straight to index cards) I'll post'm and see if anyone disagrees with their plausability. I'm rather proud of them, to be honest ^_^
