dm_50bb41b561d58 First off, I apologize for the inattentive camera work, and more importantly, for failing to capture the critical first two minutes of this incident before I realized I actually hadn't held the record button down all the way. In my defense, I was distracted by the 911 dispatcher I was speaking with at the time. So what happened here in the missing time is that there were about 10 people hanging behind Taco Bell - our local haven for stereotypically obvious junkie scumbag refugees from a Robocop movie - Half of them are shouting at the other half as I arrive, then two of them start beating up one guy and, next to yet weirdly apart from them, at least 3 more beat on each other as the abstainers in the crowd scream at them. They all drag each other to the ground, then roll right into traffic in the middle the street - cars dodging them - as the people on top fiercely punch the ones on the bottom in their faces repeatedly. I think part of the crowd split up and diffused into the night as flashing lights appeared on the horizon (this intersection is literally a block from the police station so they got here right quick- doesn't stop any of these things from happening in the first place, though). I think the guy screaming at the car (who ran out into traffic spreading his arms to block it) was one of the aggressors so he appears to be feigning injury or is possibly just wasted out of his skull.
Last month a friend of mine from Boston came to visit and decided to get snacks at the liquor store across the street from Taco Bell. I'd never been inside before due to the epically seedy vibe emanating from it at all times. My friend abruptly reversed his decision and left the store, citing a woman with blood on her face tripping balls. Immediately on exiting, we encountered a cop conversing with a pair of tweakers laying on the curb who freshly manifested within the minute we were inside. I suggested mentioning blood-face woman to him, but when we passed by later he and a larger gathering of officers were also talking to her, so I guess it all worked out, then.
Also, earlier, a gentleman lurking outside of our door at work felt it was important to hand copies of
this out to passersby.
Have I mentioned I'm moving at the beginning of next month far, far away to the upper east coast? Well I am.
