I've heard philosophies define the human animal by its rationality, a quality that makes it special above all other forms of life. But I don't think that's strictly accurate, or even provably exclusive. I can say that we are great at rationalizing. As a species we perhaps uniquely excel at spinning our shortcomings and selfish impulses into moral triumphs that we do not merely find ourselves swept along with, but are duty-bound, by our pure sense of personal courage, to go out of our way to enact on others. In a sense I can understand - not appreciate, but understand - transforming even the most innocuous but foreign social group into a nonhuman effigy against which one can safely and "rightfully" rob of basic dignity to one's own advantage. This behavior isn't fresh or surprising. But there comes a certain point when, say, you find yourself making virtuous plans to publicly celebrate the random mass murder of children, it should obvious to even the most disjointed and confused mind that you're probably evil now. By any metric. Homosexuality is contentious. The military and foreign policy are contentious. Elementary school children and the issue of whether they deserve to remain unshot is probably the most crystalline item of perfect non-contention. Even Nazis get that. How at that point would you even begin trying to rattle off the sins of your enemies without them immediately sounding like petty nuisances in the face of the almost trite parody of moral failure that is you? Villainous Jack Chick straw-men feature more sympathy, depth, and plausibility.
Even from a perspective of purely nihilistic selfishness, how does this help whatever you're for or hurt whatever you're against? Because I could not possibly envision a more powerful advertisement for atheism, not that it is in any way worth the cost. I could suspect you of being deep-cover, fiction cliché Satanists except that they'd have more self respect than that. I can't understand how someone would be able to successfully dress themselves or guide food into their mouths on a regular basis while running this thought pattern with the same brain. Especially with the idea that there is somewhere a group of different individuals coming together, hearing this proposal, and nodding in agreement that YES this is the GREATEST PLAN. I've heard it said that their religious motive is really a cover for a cynical ploy to provoke spectators into extreme reactions in order to sue them, and that this is how they make a living, but come on now, at this point you'd make a brighter career of sprinting through an artillery range in the hopes that one of your devastated bone shards will be able to accuse the management. If you succeed in provoking what you're asking for here, you will be unlikely to reap anything. It's not a coincidence Anonymous doxed you this time.
