In case you somehow haven't heard elsewhere, we'll be having a "supermoon" over the weekend, which may or may not destroy us all. Hey, just because it incidentally happened twice the previous times and we're being reassured by people who are acting amused because they're preoccupied with being taken seriously doesn't mean that oh even I can't finish that.

Oh I strongly doubt anything interesting will happen that wasn’t already in the cards, so to speak. The Indian tsunami cited, for instance, occurred two weeks before that year’s supermoon when it was actually furthest from Earth.

We might get an extra sun next year, though. Or in 100,000 years. I was getting tired of the old one.
