Okay, so the next chapter of Slashera should be up within days. I've written it. Now I have to proofread it. *takes a firm stance and crosses arms behind back (ATTENTION!)* I formally apologize for the lack of chapters recently. . . life has been crazy. That's all I can say. Now, I hope you forgive me, I hope you read this post, and I hope you enjoy what I have found. In case you have not noticed, since the beginning, I have been a major die hard fan of Terra Nova. *Slade glowers from a corner of hte mind room* As you can see, Slade is not too happy about this. . . *rolls eyes* because there is another dominant male on that show (commander Nathaniel Taylor). But down to business. I just watched the season finale, and I realized something: they have someone playing a role on that show, that I know without a shadow of a doubt, that I'd get to play *adult*Slashera in my story, if it ever was made in a movie. (Out of all my stories, this is the one that I want to be made into a live action movie the most. . . hey, a girl can dream can't she?) I would in fact personally ask this woman to be in my movie. . . It's just. . . I don't know. . . I've always liked her in the show, and now I know why. So, who is it? Here she is. Simone Kessell. She took a bullet/sonic blast for the entire colony (spoiler, sorry but it had to be there), and remained true to her commander to the end. But more importantly, she remained true to Terra Nova. The entire colony was under attack. 26 were lost. The enemy was there and she had no idea if Taylor was even alive. She gave in to prevent innocents from being hurt. And if that doesn't show she cared about the colony, I don't know what does. She played Lt. Washington in the show, and I wanted to point that pistol right at her shooter for what he did. . . :(
Well, here she is. Whenever I write my story or think of the future of it, I see this as the adult Slashera. I've always seen her like this. I can't believe I didn't notice this before. . .

mmhmm, yeppers, this is what I see. . . Now if I could only find a kid to cast as *youngest*Slashera, *older but still younger*Slashera, *preteen*Slashera, *teenage*Slashera. . . need I go on? I'll take candidates!!!! (wow, I just realized: casting Slashera alone would be a pretty penny.aww well. . . that's the price you have to pay for a coming of age movie. . . :) tell me, would YOU see the movie? do you think it'd be a box office hit? :] after all, authors (and their extremely biased narcissistic villains) are kind of one sided, I think) Plus, I think that this kind of shows that despite her less than ideal upbringing ("SLADE! I'M JUST SAYING THAT BEING RAISED BY A CRIMINAL MASTERMIND ISN'T YOUR TYPICAL CHILDHOOD! IT'S NOT SUCH A BAD THING. . ." Okay, so Slade left hte mind room, but now he's back. where was i . . .), taht doesn't mean her life goes to hell. and that is why I love how Simone Kessell looks and portrays Lt. Washington. She's not an old softy, but she does have a heart :) and I can't help but think of this song for Slashera. Not becuase she had a romantic relationship with Slade, but if you notice, every "dad" in her life has an alternative motive. And you know what they say about dads and daughters: "I loved her first" I think that not having a completely honest father figure, is what makes me think of her when I hear this song. How about you? and of course, I did not make nor did I post the video. :)

Now for Slade's casting? *rolls eyes* okay, so there is one guy I know, who I actually spent a LOT of time at his house with when I was little, who is actually *duh, duh, duh!* a pastor. *Slade just fainted. I so hope one of my other OC's caught that on camera*. In case you missed it, I made a drawing of Slade from my story, and it is two posts back? I think? yeah, I think it is. my first Slashera post for the holidays. Well, I used that man as a reference. . . for drawing it, I mean. However, I do not feel like it would be the right thing to do to put his picture up here. . .but I do know a few movie stars that I think would be good for the Slade role. . . or the best candidates I can find, at least. . . haven't really found a lot of good, super good ones. . . but the good thing is (and this may be a slight spoiler) Slade doesn't really age. . . 0.o I know right? No one knows how old he is. . . *smirks* yet. The good news is that means he'd be easy to cast. just get one buff guy who's older and has a beard. Yep. that's all *evil smirk* wanna be with me to interview them for the job? teehee!
And just so you know, I would never have a relationship with an older man (and definitely not a narcisstic bastard like Slade). However, that does not mean I wouldn't go on a date with one if I was older than my current age. . . I mean, I hate walking in a store and seeing an old guy, who let's himself go, and has a big gut, like a Santa. Sorry, but ol' St. Nick is the ONLY man who can pull that off. . . *shudders*. Me and a few friends were in Mellow Mushroom, eating after school exams, and this commercial came on the TV. Of body builders. There was this super cute younger guy, and I was like, "Oh my goodness, so cute. . ." then the camera moved down to his abs. and I was like "NOT ENOUGH!" my friends laughed at me. . . I'm sorry, but in this respect, I am shallow: you gotta have a good face and good abs (at least I'm honest about this). Oh, and no dipping. . . yuck! I DO NOT WANT TO KISS A GRIZZLY Dip cup! okay?! So yeah, I want a man who can take care of himself. :) THAT is why I appreciate Nathaniel Taylor. He's older, but he can stand up to a dinosaur. Oh, and another guy: I could tell he was hot, and he had good abs. I literally said, our waiter (I did not realize this) in the vicinity, "Why won't HE take off that shirt?!" *evil smile*
Anywho, for casting for Slade? The current candidates are:
![](http://pics.livejournal.com/trikki_v/pic/0005acy9/s640x480)
NATHANIEL TAYLOR aka the actor STEPHEN LANG! Of course. . . we may need an eye patch. . . :) I'd so send hte cast to the party city store. . . :)
![](http://pics.livejournal.com/trikki_v/pic/0005c5wq/s640x480)
![](http://pics.livejournal.com/trikki_v/pic/0005dghb)
look at those blue eyes. . . perfect. . . now here's one final of him with Simone Kessell in the background.
![](http://pics.livejournal.com/trikki_v/pic/0005b8g5/s640x480)
:)
Okay, next?
Well, I really . . . *smile* I guess I can't think of anyone but Stephen Lang for the story's Slade. But if I had to pick a *post* story Slade, maybe in a final epilogue in the movie or something, I'd pick this guy. . . Sam Elliott. :)
![](http://pics.livejournal.com/trikki_v/pic/0005e6ba)
![](http://pics.livejournal.com/trikki_v/pic/0005fx7d)
I don't know. . . he kind of holds that older grandpa-that-you-know-used-to-kick-butt-who-may-still-have-a-shotgun-waiting-by-the-back-door-just-in-case look. ;) I don't know if Slade would ever gain the old grandpa look though. . . but if he did, I can see him, though not as much as Lang, as Sam Elliott.
Now, I know everyone has their own vision of who could play Slade. Because everyone's mind is slightly different. AND THAT'S NOT A BAD THING.
I think that these two men so far are the best candidates, but if you see any, send them in, please!!!! meanwhile, I'll just look at Stephen Lang from Terra Nova, then switch to Michael Weatherly from NCIS, then switch to David Bowie from Labyrinth (all of these are not for Slade, fyi. These are just some of the guys I like to look at. . . hmm, when I'm done with this, I may just have to make a wallpaper for my laptop with them all. . . :)), then switch to Mark Harmon from NCIS (I just love his eyes too. But he looks too nice to play a bad guy. . . that's also partly why I'm still only a tad bit iffy about Stephen Lang. . . :) don't wanna lose that good guy look I guess), then switch to Thomas Gibson from Criminal Minds, then switch to Matthew Gubler from Criminal Minds, and then. . . then I may switch back to Stephen Lang. . . Well, before I do, let me do this: I know I haven't said Slade's story, and this would NOT go with his backstory, but if I thought of a yonger Slade, just like he is in my story, and not necessarily a criminal (basically an 18 year old Slade), I think of this song. I love it, actually. . . I would have never put this song with him before, but I can't help but think of him when I hear it:
He has some polo drawers showin' (you know, expensive. he has to have the best, even if not everyone may see it). Blunt blowin' (he's focusing on his own happiness). and he don't give a lovely mother. . . (well, I'll let you hear the song). I have to say, I can just see a white haired guy (with muscles and his hair cut like Anthony DiNozzo from NCIS), wearing a black button down with the S on the front pocket, some ripped jeans, some boxers showing because he doesn't even care who sees, walking into a warehouse in Jump City, just swinging a huge automatic machine gun around. With the natural narcissist swagger. maybe some black shades over his eyes to hide where he doesn't have one. . . and some boots to top it off. And personally, if he's just as fit as on the show, I think it'd be neat to see the Titans go up against him. Maybe him pulling out knives and bombs and such while they're fighting. because knowing Slade, those baggy jeans would be for something. I have a feeling he'd be the true anti-Robin. Wonder what Robin would think of that. anywho, here's the song. I do not sing it (not professionally, of course), and did not post it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uSLLXj_k6wE:) well, if you have any other songs. . . oh wait! here's something you might find funny. Because you know how "Father"s just can't stand their daughters growing up? I can just see Slade criticizing ANY man Slashera would fall in love with (not in the story. this is just a humor at their father-daughter type relationship that's currently taking place in the story), with this song. I laugh every time I hear this song.
I did not post it, nor did I professionally sing it.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXN279BM2bwwho would be Slade's "buddy"? I don't know. . . Cinderblock? lol
But I can also imagine *teen" Slade falling head over heels for a girl (because quite frankly, that's more likely to happen to him than the older Slade.), and when he does, because that would be the object of his focus. I imagine him treating her like a queen. But I don't really know if there is a girl that would work with Slade in a romantic way. *shrug* anyway, I can see him thinking/singing this song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=td-eoeLRYcQ&feature=relatedHope you had fun reading this and watching the videos. And I pray that you remain patient with me about the story. Of course, I can understand if you may be frustrated. Just please know: I am working on it. :) and it should be up soon. trust me, this story will NOT END. Not until I type the "The End" at the end of it. THANK YOU FOR READING THIS! I DO NOT OWN SLADE! OR TEEN TITANS! OR TERRA NOVA! OR THE SINGERS OF THE SONGS! OR EVEN SAM ELLIOTT!
A/N: As you know, I am a feminist and a bad one too, when I feel like it. And these are some songs that I love listening to right now. I posted none of these videos.

whenever I'm beginning a story, setting a scene, whatever, I really do feel like a ringleader in a circus, getting everything in order. Maybe this song is not referring to that, but this song sure does get me pumped up for a story.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVhJ_A8XUgc&ob=av3nI also like this song. Might. . .be the way I turned into a feminist. I had so many boys steal my heart, then just run away with the piece of it they had. Glad I never kissed them. :)
