Animazement 2010 yooo
Soo I didn't really think to make a post here, assuming everyone would've seen the pictures from it already. XD Clearly everyone stalks my cosplay.com account and Facebook. SOO I will bring you all beautiful photos of me because I am just so gorgeous and wouldn't want to hog them to myself.
First a basic recap of costumes, then photos.
Friday: I decided since the Eva Matsuri outfits did pan out, I would make Christy's character Boothe to surprise her! I just seriously love all her character's designs, they are just so fifting to my aesthetic. SOO I threw on some skinny jeans, blazer and sassy cowboy boots i found Goodwillin'. The wig was some bright blonde Saint Seiya mullet wig I found on ebay, and then my old Izsak wig from previous Christy cosplays. Izsak was also my decapitated head for Novem cosplay last year. Soo I cut both in half, and sewed them together, then sewed in some real hair extensions I had in dark brown for the rest of the mullet. Ohh and I dipped the whole thing in a vat of brown/black/green dye to make it less vibrant. :3 It was a fun wig~ The makeup for Boothe was super fun too, with all the scar putty and latex, down to the fake abs I enjoyed sculpting away with my new neutral color palette from Coastal Scents. Lovvess.
This day of the con was buh durr walk around and take lots of pictures day! I really enjoyed walking around topless to my surprise, it was sooo freeeeee. Haha it also drew a ton of attention.
Saturday: Woke up earlyish and took our time getting ready. Vanitas makeup is pretty simple so it didn't take too long. However I didn't feel like investing in prescription lenses, so they were plano and my eyes were not up to layering this day for some reason. SO I just walked around partially blind. It was fine though~ We got some really wonderful photos and then I got out of that bitch kuz it's insanely hot. Neoprene in North Carolina summery weather= bad news bears. I added new wefts to the wig, got new contacts, made little latex knee pads, added more gradient, added more fabric to the skirt and better makeup yo. After that I changed my eyebrow color, put all of boothe back on, but kept my yellow lenses on and put on some glasses. So it was like pretty Boothe. :P That night we went to the cosplay, which was HORRENDOUS. Then at some point we got bored and went to starbucks for a long time. After that we raved it up til late. THe first round of the rave was meh kuz the music sucked, but Natalia and I went back for round two and I had a blast. Good timeez
