Probably to absolutely no one's surprise, Raven had amassed herself a small army of love monkeys, which were now snuggled up with her on her bed as she used her laptop to catch up on Rumor Gal episodes and gossip and speculation. Priorities, people. Priorities

Ariel couldn't help giggling a little in the few moments she had between activities to run up to the room for something. "Looks like someone's made a few friends," she observed with a glance over at the Raven-centered monkey pile.

"I am uncertain where they came from, but they are very affectionate," Raven said with a smile to Ariel. "And they appear to be multiplying."

[shes_got_legs]

"Very, very affectionate, then," Ariel noted with a chuckle. "Hey, there, little guys. Are you guys all watching movies on the laptop?"

"I was catching up on the Rumor Gal episodes I missed, and seeking out spoilers about upcoming episodes," Raven explained. Two of the monkeys started jockeying for position on her leg, and she had to pause to break up a mini-fight. "I think they liked it, well, the parts were people were kissing and hugging."

"Oh, yeah!" said Ariel. "That's that...one show. With....those people!"

Ariel clearly watched a lot of television, yes.

"Is there a lot of that?" she asked, flopping on the bed with a grin. "Kissing and hugging and all that stuff?"

"There is a great deal of it, yes," Raven said. A couple of the monkeys left the Raven pile and scampered over to Ariel. "Though many of the couples have recently changed. There is also a lot of scheming and attempting to bring misfortune down upon others. I do not like those parts as much."

Ariel's nose wrinkled a little at that. "Yeah," she said, holding a hand out to the scampering monkeys. "I don't think I would as much, either. Do you like the changes, or did you like the old couples more?"

And, to the monkeys, she said, "Hi, little monkeys, I don't have any bananas, unless you like wax or plastic bananas, I have a few of those in the collection, but I don't think they'd be very tasty."

The monkeys liked leeeegs, and Ariel had plenty of that, right?

"I enjoy it when Charlie and Claire are together," Raven said with a wee bit of a wistful sigh. "I know it is silly to feel that way about fictional characters, but I cannot help but feel they are right for each other."

That she certainly did, and there they were for clinging.

"Oh!" Ariel said with a laugh as one of them attached themselves to her leg and the other, after a moment of regretting not seizing the chance, quickly joined on. "Hello, there! You really are friendly, aren't you?"

And then she smiled over at Raven. "And sometimes, people just are. In TV shows and in real life, too."

"Of course, in real life as well," Raven said, struggling a bit to keep the smile on her face. "Only in real life we cannot rely on writers to mend things between those who are suffering difficulties." I crack myself up.

[shes_got_legs]

"Noooo," agreed Ariel, tilting her head at the monkeys clinging to her legs with a faint frown on her face all of a sudden, "but we do have things like hope and true love shines through no matter wha--"

Ariel's eyes widened. "WHOA THERE MONKEYS!" She started shaking her legs but it did nothing to disrupt the monkeys' new thrusting interest in her legs. "Get...off...ohman, you weren't kidding about affectionate..."

"I have managed to convince them not to try that any more with me, that snuggles are fine, however," Raven said with a look of dismay. "Unfortunately I do not believe they think that rule applies to everyone else. Baby J! Stop that!"

Yes, she'd named them after Rumor Gal characters.

Baby J seemed to have hit a stride and showed no intention of stopping any time soon.

"Er, maybe we should just let her ride it out..."

"She is very rebellious," Raven said helplessly. "Hopefully she will become tired soon."

In the meantime she would facepalm and blush. She debated trying to use her powers to calm Baby J's desire, but she was really afraid of any awkwardness that might result should she be momentarily overcome by it.

"Man, she's really going to to--" But Ariel stopped herself, shaking her head and trying to focus her attention on something other than the monkey who seemed very in love with her legs.

To be fair, they were pretty awesome legs.

"Err, so, any big plans for Valentine's Day, Raven?" she asked, making sure it sounded like just a nonchalant subject change and not at all a convenient way to find out how things might be going between her and Jono.

Raven shook her head. "I do not have any," she said quietly, because Jono had totally pinged after Ariel. "I am uncertain if I will go to the dance or not."
