Emma
Emma had not been expecting to see winged creatures so reminiscent of her time in Agio, oh, ever.

There was a moment of pure, unrelenting panic as she stared up at the skies, and then she forced herself to move, running for the temple. She had bandages and other basic first aid supplies in her bag, ones she hadn't had Karla vanish, just in case. It was possible there were people in there who needed help, and Emma would rather not have death screams of a species in her head again.

Demons
A demon spotted Emma running for the Temple. It began to spiral downward at her, hungry for more flesh to tear into with its talons. Maybe this one would scream better than the others.

Emma
Scream? No. Snarl? Yes.

Emma caught a glimpse of the demon out of the corner of her eye and whirled about, already reaching out with her powers for its mind, mentally wrapping her fingers around its nociceptors and yanking - hard - a gesture she echoed in the physical world.

Demons
The demon was used to pain, but not like this. It spasmed in the air, unable to keep itself up, and dropped like a stone to the ground.

Another demon was coming up behind her, however, hoping to avoid its sibling's fate by breathing a jet of fire at her back. Emma better run.

Emma
Emma shoved up the sleeves of her hoodie and used her arms to block the flame from igniting her top. She quickly patted out the few sections that started smoldering, but it was nothing indecent since she was protected by the Comics Code Authority. "Is that seriously the best you've got? If so, I suggest flittering off to bother someone else before I decide to make your wings into sails for a little boat."

Demons
Oh, she wanted more? Then the demon was more than happy to show her, and he and his kin would continue to as long as Trigon so ordered.
