The Park, Monday Evening

Feb 01, 2010 18:15

Raven wanted to spend some time meditating, as she did almost every day, but she was having trouble blocking out all the background noise in the dorms. The roof and the sixth floor safe room were both handwavily occupied, so despite the chill in the air, she decided to venture outside to the park to find some solace. The sky was clear and the ( Read more... )

Damon was out because...well because he was just friggen bored. That was the reason he wandered around anywhere, really. He was contemplating on giving up looking for entertainment and just getting drunk at the bar when he saw Raven walking around. Looks like he wouldn't have to suffer Tino's company after all.

He decided to go for the more confrontational approach than the cliche stalking thing that Anne Rice liked to write about. "Well if it isn't the virgin daiquiri girl."

Raven opened her eyes and looked up at Damon, blushing at his words. "Hello, Damon," she said, smiling shyly. "How are you this evening?"

"I have to say my evening has just vastly improved thanks to your presence," Damon said, smiling at her. "What are you doing out here, if you don't mind me asking?"

"I often meditate," Raven explained, "but the dorms were too noisy for me tonight, so I came here." She drew her cloak tighter. "It is cold, but I like the stars."

Damon made a confused little face before tilting his head back and looking up at the sky. "Oh yeah. They're nice. I hadn't noticed."

He was never the "look out into the moonlight and cry" person Stefan was.

Raven unfolded her legs and rose to her feet. "Are you on your way to Caritas to work to work tonight, or just enjoying the evening?" she asked.

"Neither, actually," Damon said casually. "I was hoping to get something to eat."

"Ching Tai is nice, if you have not been there before," Raven said, oh-so-helpfully. "I have never been to the steakhouse, however, for I am a vegetarian. What are you in the mood for?"

Damon tried to not break the dramatic vampire character, he really did, but wow, that was just perfect. He really couldn't help but laugh a little. "It's really funny you should ask..."

He managed to compose himself and shift into gameface. "Like I said, I am really glad I ran into you."

Raven gasped and took a step back, fighting against the sudden spike of remembered fear from the other Fandom. He didn't look exactly like the vampires there, but the hunger was the same, and the shock and terror was enough that she couldn't concentrate to teleport away. "No," she said, holding up her hand. "Please."

Damon didn't even bother to pretend to consider that. He smirked and then used that oh so helpful super speed to try to grab her before she bolted or tried to scream. He wasn't really looking for anymore company at the moment.

Raven struggled in his grasp, but she hadn't yet really begun to learn how to defend herself, and he was stronger than she, so she couldn't break free. Like Karla had flashed back to thoughts of Briarwood that morning, she was falling into her own memories. "Please," she whispered again, though she wasn't sure now what she was asking for.

"Well if you insist." Damon grinned before leaning down and sinking his teeth into her neck.

Raven cried out as his fangs penetrated her skin, pain and pleasure mingling just like the vampire that Max had been had taught her. She was trembling, but not struggling anymore; her hands twisted in his clothing as she clung to him to stop herself from falling.

The clinging wasn't needed; Damon could hold her up easily, even when he was concentrating on something else. It wasn't unappreciated though, if it was kind of weird.

Damon drank deep, enjoying the moment, but taking care to only take what he needed. No need to kill when he didn't have to. He knew better than to do that with all the wannabe heroes around.

Everything was spinning now, and Raven's breath came in short, shallow gasps. Part of her wanted to fight and run away, but a strong part wanted to drown in the spiral of pleasure and pain. "Yes," she panted faintly.
