all is well....

so i feel great. i feel like i am still not part of reality even though it has been 2 days now since my return from hippie camp. but i will get to that next paragraph.... in other more recent news, David Cockroft, a huge friend of the family, also a prespyterian (sp?) minister, also gay... emailed me wanting to know if i was spending time with my grandparents for thanksgiving. i said i was eatig with my sister and mother and charlie's family and that i was also bringing jenn with me. he said that he is thrilled to meet jenn and he has been doing alost of silent work with my grandparents on their issues with homosexuality! YAY!!!
ok, now for hippie camp..... it was GREAT, hippie camp is not what i would like it to be known as, because it was more than some dirty tree huggers, but hippie camp is unfortunatly all that most will understand. My mother took me as my Yule present, and it was the greatest EVER! the workshop took place at Rowe camp and conference center, and i got to spend 3 days with Starhawk. For thouse who dont know her, she is a feminist, activist, and America's favorite witch! OOOH i will never forget her voice. we did a lot of spiritual work, learning how to get back in touch with nature, and i realized more than ever that every living thing is really connected to Gaia (mother earth) and I really feel that i need to get back in touch with her. there are 3 basic steps thast starhawk guided is to, first you need to see things, that is wonder about things that you sense, then you need to understand things, then you can say something back. it will take me a long time, especially in the age we live in. so my mother gave Starhawks latest book 'The Earth Path' and I have it signed, so it has extra magic in it! and as soon as i give my bank a piece of my mind about my money being held for no reason i will soon have 'Spiral Dance' on its way and followed shortly after by 'Pagan Pride' by M. Macha Nightmare....

So excited, so connected, so alive.

When our sense of the sacred is based not upon dogma but upon observation and wonder at what is, no contradiction exists between the theories of science and those of faith.~ taken from The Earth Path
