Okay, I actually found time to update my Journal! Lots has been going on. Tons of Homework, lots of singing, college audition for U of I, concerns with Jen and I, funny stuff found on websites, all sorts of nutty stuff.
Okay, so We'll start with the Yarbrough story. Supposedly, he told the Treble Choir to wear all black and try and show us (Concert Choir)how unprofessional we are. We were supposed to crash and Burn on a certain song, probably She's Like A Swallow (which is a bad song to begin with), and I for one feel insulted that he would think that we would do so badly, since we spent so much time on other things that drew our attention away from the music we were working on. Aww, whatever. Liz, Phil and I are looking into potential New York Clubs to hit while we're there. Gotta find some good ones! I can't wait for this trip. So many things to look forward to: even more bonding with my friends, partying all the time, amazing shows (RENT!!!!!!!!!!!), Martial Arts in Central Park, and, of course, a great tour of talented musicians performing amazing music (despite what Paul thinks).
So, the College audition went...well, they say you're your toughest critic, so let's hope that's true, because I felt disappointed with the audition. I sang Tu Lo Sai for Barrington Coleman, the Teacher I want to study with. It felt pretty good, but it was after he left and the other professor asked me for another classical selection that I began to feel worried.
Sorry, Random interlude. Everybody has to go see these videos:

Well worth the wait for loading.
Anyway, I had no second selection in the classical style prepared, so I just moved on to the scales, which they were very impressed with (hoo yeah). But when it came to the sightreading, I started on the wrong note 3 times, which was super-embarrassing. Oh well. Here's hoping folks.
Ok, so after numerous minutes typing and contemplating, I leave you all with this thought: Don't try to Milk a Cat; it doesn't work. (I don't speak from experience) Peace.
