back in the USA
Last night I returned from two fabulous weeks touring the US with my parents and Nicholas, complete with tons of wicked camping, racing indian trucks across the desert, Death Valley, getting crushed into the night crowds in downtown Las Vegas, experiencing the beauty of Yosemite, touring the world-famous Antelope slot canyon that you see pictures of EVERYWHERE, meeting my sexy distant cousin I had no idea existed, staying at my dad's cousin's place with a gorgeous backyard and a pool, going to work with my distant aunt Sheryl - she works for a global scale advertising company, with officies in Salt Lake, New York, London, you name it; they're currently working on contracts with Verizon Wireless and Mastercard. I sat in on a meeting discussing new directions of the Mastercard project, and met some people in both the creative and business ends of the agency. Also, she said I could intern with her whenever I want. This is EXACTLY what I want to do in life! I couldn't believe I was right in the middle of it for a day. I showed her some of my illustrations, and she said that will my level of skill I should be heading straight to New York and getting hired! She's been in this for 30 years, so I took that as a huge compliment. End career enthusiasm.
