You call them Filberts and not Hazelnuts.

You feel guilty throwing aluminum cans or paper in the trash.

You use the statement "sun break" and know what it means.

You know more than 10 ways to order coffee.

You know more people who own boats than air conditioners.

You feel overdressed wearing a suit to a nice restaurant.

You stand on a deserted corner in the rain waiting for the "Walk" signal.

You consider that if it has no snow or has not recently erupted, it is not a real mountain.

You know the difference between Chinook, Coho, and Sockeye salmon.

You know how to pronounce Sequim, Puyallup, Issaquah, Oregon, Yakima, and Willamette. I know how to pronounce Puyallup, Oregon, Yakima, and Willamette. Have not heard of the other two.

In winter, you go to work in the dark and come home in the dark-all in an eight-hour work day.

Your grandparents drive at 65 mph through a rain storm without flinching.

You install security lights on your house and garage and leave both unlocked.

You carry jumper cables in your pickup and your daughter knows how to use them. Well, not a daughter, but me. I'm guessing they're going for the 'females know how to use them' idea.

Driving is better in the winter because almost everybody stays home.

You think sexy lingerie is tube socks and flannel pajamas.

You know what and when the Columbus Day storm was. Bonus for having been there. Wasn't there, but Mom was, so I know about it.
