I've been needing to post my answers to that fandom meme that went around a couple weeks ago. Aaahh, a procrastinators work is never done...
Law and Order: SVU
By the by, I have not watched this show in years; pretty much quit after S5 when Olivia became a big whiny wuss. So consider my answers to be for the earlier seasons.
01. The first character I fell in love with: Olivia Benson.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Hmmm. Guess the closest would be Finn. Not really a fave, but as a foil to Munch he is golden.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: No clue.
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: No clue
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Sadly, that would be Olivia. Probably Stabler too, really.
06. The character I would shag anytime: S1-4 Benson. Yummy.
07. The character I want to be like: Ya know, probably early seasons Stabler. Tough, capable, solid as a rock. He had some issues, but they didn't eat him up like Liv's did her. He actually seemed to balance work and home pretty well, for a cop anyway. That's another thing the show did that I hated - I liked that his family and marriage worked and held together and then they fubared that all up. Grrr.
08. The character I'd slap: Casey, at least in her first season. I swear, they tried so damn hard to make her different from Alex they made her dumber than a rock. A sex crimes prosecutor wearing hooker boots to court? REALLY?
09. A pairing that I love: Alex/Olivia. My first femslash. Aaawwwww. They were damn hawt too.
10. A pairing that I hate: Olivia/Elliot. They are partners. Their chemistry in the early seasons really screamed sibling type bond to me, not all whiny 'cause regs wont let 'em fuck.
11. Favorite character: Olivia.
12. My five favorite characters: Olivia, Alex, Stabler, Munch, Abbie Carmichael - hey, she was in a few episodes...
13. My five least favorite characters: The bad guys - the one Fred Savage plays comes to mind. He did great with that part though.
14. Which character I am most like: No clue.
15. My deep, dark fandom secret: Can't think of one.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
01. The first character I fell in love with: Hmmm. Maybe Buffy? My mom was house sitting somewhere that had a satellite and that's where I first saw any episodes - think they were S2. Honestly can't remember if I fell for a character or just the show overall, though.
By the time I'd bought my own satellite and could watch the show regularly, it was S3 and I developed a biiig thing for Faith.
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Anya. She was funny when she first came around, but that was about it. And by the last episode, I cried when she died. *sniffles*
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: I don't know.
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: Don't know.
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Riley. Love is a little strong but I did like him; then he started the whole blood thing and just...yeah. He couldn't be gone fast enough.
06. The character I would shag anytime: Faith.
07. The character I want to be like: I think...I think Tara. My first instinct was to say Willow, but would really rather not try and destroy the world. Or fall into an addiction. And Tara had a gentle, quiet strength to her that is very enviable. Even when things were going to hell, when the person she loves is making horrible choices, she stuck to what was right and good even though it hurt. Yeah - Tara is well worth emulating.
08. The character I'd slap: Andrew. I liked him okay, but sheeesh, he could have used a lot of slapping.
09. A pairing that I love: Willow/Tara. They were just something special.
10. A pairing that I hate: No clue. Once upon a time would have said Buffy/Spike but damned if the show didn't make it kind of work, if hiiiighly dysfunctional and unhealthy.
11. Favorite character: Buffy. Or Faith. Or Willow.
12. My five favorite characters: Buffy, Faith, Willow, Oz, Xander. Anya, Cordelia, Giles, Jenny Calendar, Joyce, Angel, Spike, Drusilla...
13. My five least favorite characters: The preacher dude played by Nathan Fillion, Glory, Warren, the main Watcher dude
14. Which character I am most like: Maybe Xander?
15. My deep, dark fandom secret: I have yet to watch the first season; think I've seen a couple episodes maybe. And I own the friggin' DVD set. *hangs head*

01. The first character I fell in love with: Xena
02. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Hmmm. Probably Gabrielle actually. She was good and all, but...kindofannoying. Once she learned some fighting skills though, she started improving by leaps and bounds. And before long she was my favorite in a lot of ways.
03. The character everyone else loves that I don't: No clue.
04. The character I love that everyone else hates: The easy answer would be Joxer, but I think by the time I watched the show, he's actually not that hated anymore. So no clue.
05. The character I used to love but don't any longer: Varia. She was really cool her first appearance, with a lot of potential. Sadly, she went downhill fast and by her last episode I just wanted her to die already, before she got any more people killed.
06. The character I would shag anytime: Xena. Warrior Gabrielle.
07. The character I want to be like: Huh. An amalgamation of a few probably. Xena's strength of will, Gabrielle's ability to see good, Joxer's determination to help, etc.
08. The character I'd slap: Varia. She was apparently incapable of learning from her mistakes.
09. A pairing that I love: Xena/Gabrielle.
10. A pairing that I hate: Gabrielle/Virgil. He was Joxer's son. Just NO.
