Roping went quite well today. We had a few extra people her this morning, one of which is the guy who started Tuffy in the heeling for Papa. And I still roped good, so that was really awesome.

Both my horse and Tuffy worked good, too and the others commented on that.
A week and a half ago, Papa bought another horse; already trained but had bucked with the guy that owned him last summer or something like that. Only bucked the once and gave no sign of that being potential before or after that and no one has any idea why the horse bucked. I roped on him last Saturday and he was fine. Today Papa asked the guy that had rode Tuffy if he'd head some and see what he does.

The horse did awesome. No sign of a desire to buck, calm in the box, good pattern and strong once turning the steers. Papa's thinking he'll keep that horse and sell Tuffy. Tuffy is working really well, but not trained at all in the heading (which is what Papa does) and while Tuffy is short, he's a really stocky horse and that hurts Papa a bit to ride.
The new horse is a lot slimmer and easier for him to ride. Has a nice little jog and canter as well, which is also easier on the body.

All in all, quite the good day. Even if I still haven't gotten warm after being back in the house for a couple hours. LOL
