the first two weeks

They aren't quite up yet, but what the heck.



NATE is huge in Korea. People don't use AOL, Yahoo, or Microsoft instant messenger, they use NATEon and it pops up whenever you start the lab computers. Seeing my brother's name everywhere amuses me greatly (especially since it's one of the few things written in roman letters).

I forgot to change money at the airport. Thank goodness for Rachel getting me a few things. When she got here, she had nothing and was forced to figure out how to order a pizza, which is very difficult when neither party speaks the same language. On the morning of my second day here, I met fellow teachers Kris and Steven. They rock. Jetlagged, I then returned to sleep until the evening. Steven then introduced me to his girl and fellow teacher Martine and we all went out to dinner at this great place on a corner, Toastour (toast being burgers on bread instead of buns, made of pork sausage because groud beef costs $30 a package, and with egg)

I'll have to finish this later, I'm going to watch a movie with other teachers and then I need to get to bed.
