Yeah, all very good upfront but we all know that despite what he says he's beating himself up internally as he could have won his age group ;-)

We can all make excuses for why we didn't win, heck most of us are pro's at it having practiced in posts here on LJ, but no matter what we say, internally we really did want to win, your son was just preparing to deflect failure rather than having to answer difficult questions afterwards!

Much better to have come 3rd on that bike, wearing his suit than explain why he didn't come first!

So well done to your son, whens his next race? By the way, he should been dq'd if he had a glass mirror for shaving in transition... Also, I can't see his race number :-)

heh. While I hear what you're saying, in this case, "Nope!" ;)
This was an easy weekend for him as his A-race - qualifiers for World Duathlon - is in 2 weeks.

Plastic mirror.

Don't be sad, its triathlon if you just wanted to have fun you wouldn't pay all those exorbitant entry fees, better go and have a meal with good friends!
