Life for John is a roller coaster of experiences so far this year.  I hope in the end I can achieve at a higher level this semester as a person and scholar.  I strive to become closer to Megan, as well as my friends every day.  I'm trying to balance my work to play ratio on an even scale for the most part; but I think we all know that it is much more appealing to be counter productive and gratify your every basic, humanistic, and self centered urning.  I have been gifted with a family invested savings account to fund my college experience, and I'm trying not to take advantage of this blessing.  Despite it's obvious benefits, I've decided look for a job regardless.  Money is a lot of things to many people, but to me, I consider it a necessary evil.

Megan showed me how to cook her families spaghetti recipe.  It turned out very tasty (but next time I think I'll butter up the noodles after they're drained).
-Love you, boobie. xoxo

Marching band is boring but entertaining for the most part.  Once again, a necessary evil.  This will be my age out summer and therefore, final season to participate in the Drum Corps activity.  I'm 1/2 sad, 1/2 half relieved that after three years of marching, it will be over.  It takes a lot of time, effort, funds, strength, and heart to march just one summer.  How people are able to make it past 3 seasons is beyond me.  I was encouraged to audition at other Corps this year, but I couldn't force myself to leave my family at Blue Stars.  On top of that, I was asked by the caption head to take the roll of center snare drummer and thus, the 'tap off' for the ensemble.  I don't care how we do, as long as we put out a damn good product.

I can't seem to get enough marching activity in me however, because on top of a college marching band, and a Drum Corps, I'm really excited about auditioning for a local Indoor Drumline ensemble out of Dallas called 'Metro Alliance'.  Megan and I will do everything conveniently possible to march together in this ensemble during the spring.  Hopefully we will get to march side by side one last time.

Pasic is the largest music convention in the country and the cool part about it: It's a percussion only convention.  It's held consecutively in a different part of the country each year around this time.  This year it is thankfully in Texas (hooray)!  Megan and I are trying hard to make this work for us also.  The convention takes place between the 8th through the 11th of November.  I hope we can both squeeze this event in our schedule.

'Beaches' is a chick flick... and I liked it, so fuck off!

Out.
